I am a passionate, self-motivated, and battle-hardened technologist with 10 years of broad IT experience. My professional and personal experiences span across IT operations management, project delivery management, application development, DevOps engineering, and solutions architecture. My passion is to build the future with AWS technology, automate everything, and to stay on the cutting edge of all that AWS has to offer. I'm also a husband, father, entrepreneur, and avid outdoor enthusiast.
Most recently, I have worked for Deloitte Consulting, LLP for about 2.5 years. There I served as both a Specialist Master, and Project Delivery Manager serving our Fortune 500 client base. Both are manager-level roles, however I was quite hands-on with a number of interesting projects ranging from AWS-based Big Data & Analytics platform build and deployment automation to leading the charge for a successful AWS MSP Competency partner audit. At Deloitte, I was engaged in the full client service delivery life-cycle, including design, build, operate, and optimize. While Deloitte had iniatives for Azure, GCP, and Oracle cloud, my projects were all AWS-based.
Much of my career thus far has been based in the context of delivering managed services for cloud-hosted workloads. This would include things like backup and disaster recovery planning, 24-hour monitoring and response, Event/Incident/Problem/Change Management, cost optimization, security reviews, IT transformation and cloud migration activities, etc. I have either led, or co-led 4 AWS MSP Competency audit preparation efforts (each spanning 3-6 months), so if you are thinking of a consulting partnership with AWS I can help!

I led and managed a team of 6 to formalize and deliver internal IT service management capabilities for the US Firm's enterprise Cloud Managed Services offering. Our team was responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enabling agile ITSM services in a rapidly changing and complex dynamic multi-cloud environment with stringent security, compliance, and IT governance constraints.
March 2017 - May 2019
I was deployed in multiple client engagements to provide service delivery management for the ongoing delivery of the Firm's Cloud Managed Services offering for Fortune 500 clients in the Health Sciences and Financial Services industries. I served as the primary point of contact for those client service engagements and led a globally distributed team in providing enterprise-class IT service management across the application and infrastructure layers of the solution stack.
May 2015 - March 2017
I provided management oversight for the delivery of ongoing cloud managed services to clients. This included managing a local and distributed team of support engineers providing management services for workloads on the AWS cloud IaaS platform, including services such as application and infrastructure monitoring, Incident management, Problem Management, Change Management, backup and disaster recovery planning, patching, cost optimization, solution architecting, and much more. Day 1 Solutions was a 50 person boutique AWS cloud services Firm serving SLED and SMB markets. I key contributor to the development and adoption of next-generation cloud management practices for the company, in alignment with AWS best practices for managed service providers.
January 2012 - May 2015
I provided web application development services for internal and client service work primarily on the Microsoft stack (ASP .Net/C#/MVC/SQL Server).
